Bitterroot Bobcat and Lynx?

I've had my eyes on these breeders for a long time. They seem legit and their animals seem healthy. I just want an animal that is healthy.
But...today, I decided to do my homework and found a TON of negative reviews about them.
Have you had any experience with them? I know this site has many bobcat owners, but where did you obtain them from?

What kind of reviews? Were they just accusations of animals abuse?

Sources of said bad reviews? Specific website/page of the breeder you're talking about?

If you are into keeping wildcats DO NOT take big cat rescue and 911 animal abuse (which is made by the owner of big cat rescue) as a reliable fact source. Otherwise I am sorry, living in Turkey, I do not have any experience with the bitter root bobcat farm.

Thank you Smile I really wanted to purchase a bobkitten from their site but I backpedalled after reading the reviews. It's pretty shocking, since the breeders look decent enough and the cats look healthy.

I echo what TurkRoach said... There have been threads even here on Sybil's about Big Cat Rescue. I wouldn't take their word for anything.

The news links are broken but the ones I found were just people caught with illegal bobcats that claimed the breeder said they were hybrids, which would be odd since they, even then, only had pures on their website, so would think the buyers just tried a last ditch fib. Now the fact the breeder may not have checked the buyer's legality could be an issue but the buyer could have lied to the breeder too.

We are also looking at purchasing from Bitterroot, we only live a few hours away, so that's kind of handy. Did you find out anymore information?

maybe you could visit them to see their conditions. You really can't tell what the condition is really like until you visit them. Or maybe ask them for pictures of their cages?
