I have windows10 on my computer. for some reason, the last update windows10 did removed some of my programs
I was researching windows10 updates, many people said the same thing.

it is so weird. I have a program that that was a hit and miss. for a while it would not work at all. the last update windows10 did, now that program works, but, removed some of my other programs  .

I wish windows10 would get the act together. I hate windows10.

When I had to update from Windows 7 to 10 I lost almost all of my programs and a lot of files, even though when installing, it said my programs and files would not be deleted.

How long ago was that? These stupid updates seems to be getting worse. I know I lost my graphic program. I don't even have the key number for it. I might have written down, but, I have papers everywhere.

on a computer at work, it had windows7 on it. but, somehow it updated to windows10 on its own. I don't know if any files went missing.
I don't go to gary's s shop anymore. That computer that gary had, I now have it. I need to fix it. the CD rom don't work, the internet card when bad. I bought him a "netgear" A CD is required, since the CD rom don't even open. I have some old computers, maybe even some parts I save. I will have to see If I can find one that will fit.

What gets me is, to actually buy to windows10, it is not cheap

I have a "spreadsheet" program. it was always a hit and miss if it would work Yesterday it started working. maybe that was the update that fixed it.
I guess maybe Microsoft fixed some stuff, but, broke more programs

Microsoft should be embarrassed. but, I doubt they are.

How long ago did it update? If it's less than 30 days you should be able to roll it back.

I am pretty sure it was within 30 days. I will try the roll back.
Thank you Hecate.

I upgraded years ago. I just took the hit and reinstalled the programs I still had the discs to, and the files I recovered from an old hard drive.

Seems the more Microsoft updates, the worse it gets. I also found backups for a few programs I lost. I really should get in a habit of backing up everything daily. I keep forgetting or get side tracked with other crap. I am glad you were able to recover your files.
