Glad to help. The old link wasn't working but it's still what comes up on a google search so thought I'd make it easy to find so people can check on breeders.

Some inspection reports are back up. You choose state and type of license then download a pdf of available inspection reports.

Hmm I'm not listed skimmed through a lot seems they are all the ones with a DBA(business name) so maybe that's the deal right now. Having skimmed through I'm glad I don't have the other state inspector, she seems a bit picky.

I found one listed that was just a name (no DBA) in my state. They are still reviewing so don't know yet if all reports will be included or just ones meeting certain unknown requirements. I do know I don't want to have to skim through a giant pdf file to find a particular licensee.

I saw my name on there, but I had my fox sanctuary's name listed.
I'm Fable and Ifrit's mommy. Also mommy to Carousel, Breeze, and a bunch of snakes, lizards, and spiders. Oh, and one amphibian!
I feel like...I'm not understanding something with this setup.
To test, I figured I would look under the breeder section for the state of Indiana. There are two fox breeders in that state, but they are not listed in the report.
To me, this new system seems like a mess and worthless.
USDA's system of finding licensees has always been a mess. But this does seem a lot worse than it was before. It really shouldn't be hard to make a simple search engine with names and inspection reports.

The link I posted was just updated today. Looks like they are pretty much done deciding which inspections to post. The list previously mentioned in the original post (list of those holding USDA licenses) will be updated monthly according to the page I linked to.
"Once a month, we also publicly post a list of our licensees/registrants that are regulated under the Animal Welfare Act. Please click on List of Persons Licensed or Registered under the AWA to see the up-to-date list."
Looks like back to requiring Freedom of Information Act requests for most reports.

True, but at least I could search for the last name and a state to narrow down the search to check if a breeder was still licensed or they let it lapse.

So I got a letter saying they will be putting inspection reports back on the site but will be redacting info to protect homestead businesses(so people like Ash and myself who have our home address with USDA instead of a separate business address. Not sure when just said sometime soon.

It is search able again if you go here https://acis.aphis.edc.usda.gov/ords/f? ... 0901034924
First link is the pdf list but under that is a link to search the reports for info. However I'm not finding myself by using the second link so the pdf is still probably best.
